Wow, haven't blogged in forever.
So remember the Carter Twins, the country duo I've fallen in love with? Well they played a show in Detroit (well Clarkston, they just always refer to it as Detroit) yesterday with Toby Keith and Trace Adkins. At first, I wasn't going. I didn't have any money for a ticket. They DMed me on twitter and asked why I couldn't go. I told them and they said they'd leave two tickets for me at will call! And they invited me to their bus party! I was sorta kinda freaking out, I mean I was going to hang out with the fricken CARTER TWINS ON THEIR BUS FOR FREE!
We (my dad and I) got there and stood in the pouring rain for about a half hour looking for their dad who was going to take us to the bus. The only description I'd been given was "he looks a lot like Josh," (right). Ha. Lots of people look like Josh. But we found him. He took us to the bus and I was the first to walk in. I shook hands with Josh and then Zach and sat down on the couch next to Josh. There were a few other girls and parents there too. We all sat down and Josh says "OK, who has gum?" That, in every case, would be me. I gave him a piece and then Zach started talking about the weather and touring and stuff. Josh says to me "Can I see your bag?" and I said "Sure." He grabbed it and said "JoBro bag." Zach goes "You like the Jonas Brothers?" I said, "Yepp, I love them! And you guys!" Zach said they haven't met them yet. We talked a little longer and got pictures, including the standard bus party picture they take every time. Zach tweeted the picture before we were off the bus. He tweeted "Busy party... Michigan rocks!" and then the picture. It's amazing when a celebrity tweets and you can tell them face to face they made a typo. I told him he put "busy" rather than "bus" and he says "Ahh I suck at typing!" It was cute. :].
We got back to the venue area and found our seats, which, shockingly, were pavilion. We were next to a guy whose parents used to live next door to Zach and Josh and a lady who met them at the CMT Awards this year. The performance was fantastic. They did "So What", "Heart Like Memphis", "Reinvent The Wheel", and two other songs. One they had just learned so we were one of the first audiences to hear it. I felt special. After their set we walked over to a merch booth where they were having a meet-and-greet. I got a shout out video for a few of my friends:
Trace and Toby did a great job too, but the whole time I just wanted to see Josh and Zach again! They were so down to earth and sweet! <3.
Peace out.
Kaylee Ann Jonas-Carter :]
